The train of Tomorrow

A train which travels at over 500 kilometers an hour? It sounds impossible but it isn’t. The high-speed train of tomorrow is already here. Scientists and engineers travel from all over the world to visit Miyazaki in Japan, where they can see the new high-speed train.
The train “floats” ten centimeters off the ground at speeds of over 500 kilometers an hour. The system use electro-magnetic power. This lifts the vehicles in the air and makes them fly over a special track. The train is called the “Maglev” the short “magnetic- levitation “.
The Maglev is beautiful. At the test center in Miyazaki, the Maglev travels silently along a seven kilometers track by the side of the Hyuge Sea. It can reach a speed of 150 kilometers an hour in 31 seconds. The Japanese engineers say that the new system is better than J.R.’s “bullet train.” They are quite sure that theirs is the train of the future.
